Illustrating the Value of IT

Tell me if you’ve heard this one before…

Your IT department has a lot to juggle. Maybe you have thousands of devices to manage across multiple campuses, new project requests coming in from all directions, and countless other things that crop up from day to day. Doesn’t everyone know exactly what IT does and how much is already on your plate? To be honest—probably not.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. In fact, you’re far from it. While it may seem like you have a resource problem, what you actually have is an IT governance (ITG) problem. What is IT governance? I’m glad you asked. Simply put, Gartner defines it as the processes that ensure the effective and efficient use of IT in enabling an organization to achieve its goals.

Ken Libutti, CIO of Palm Beach State College, leverages IT Service Management (ITSM) and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) from TeamDynamix to not only solve their governance challenges, but also to help create a culture of organizational excellence with the IT department and throughout the college.

Check out this video to find out how Ken and his “Lean & Mean” IT department at Palm Beach State College use the TeamDynamix platform to:

  • Optimize IT resources through standardization throughout the organization
  • Establish an IT governance model aligned with strategic goals to create a high level of effectiveness throughout the institution
  • Open a window of visibility into IT project-level and day-to-day operations that foster transparency and executive buy-in between IT and school leadership
