DEX monitors health anomalies and autonomously triggers action when indicators move outside of the range indicated for a healthy machine. When triggered, DEX runs a risk-gated remediation, like killing a runaway process or clearing disk space, then re-measures to confirm the fix worked. DEX can also trigger more complex flows in your iPaaS system or create a ticket in your ITSM tool for a human-in-the-loop interaction.
Every automation carries a risk score. Low-risk remediations run in the background, so the automation doesn’t interrupt what the user is doing and avoids prompt fatigue. Higher-risk automations prompt the user to avoid any surprises. Automations are encoded with relevant health metrics, as well as the severity level, so that configuration for warning and critical thresholds is easy.
DEX comes with 50+ cross-platform automations in the remediation library, including fixes for common hardware failures such as TCP/IP or Wi-Fi resets, disk cleanup, or resource hog termination. Additional automations allow users to self-serve remediations like app-cache resets for Teams, Zoom, Outlook, and Chrome. Automations are scoped for the user versus the system and are risk-labeled.
After a remediation runs, DEX re-measures the metric that triggered the fix and scores how far it recovered, then checks in with the user for feedback on whether they saw a noticeable improvement. Remediations that didn’t actually improve anything will simply contribute a zero score – so simply initiating an automation is not counted as a win, and the measurement of success is not inflated.
Not only are individual remediation efforts measured to see how well they worked, but effectiveness statistics can also be viewed in aggregate, so you can understand if a specific remediation is helping more or less over time. The system flags when a metric’s normal behavior shifts a statistically significant amount, turning remediation from a queue of one-off actions into a measurement you can track.
Safety and governance are built into the DEX remediation engine. Every automation is enabled by an administrator and comes directly from TeamDynamix with a digital signature; it is not pulled from an unsupported community library. A fix that’s done its job won’t run twice, and any disruptive action asks for user a confirmation to run.

When a device crosses a threshold, we can automatically remediate it or get ahead of it before it ever becomes a disruption.
